Quality and Integrity 2017-04-03T12:07:40+00:00
Our company’s quality and integrity is dependent on three basic principles:

Product Quality &
Traceability

Sensory Evaluation (taste, flavor, smell, freshness)

Food Safety &
Security

As part of the ongoing commitment to provide quality product and supply chain solutions to our customers, Reliable Products Inc. is in the process of attaining our SQF level 2 Certification and implementing a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) program. This signifies our dedication and our commitment to achieve the highest level of quality and safety within our internal processes and our processing facility. All our products are produced in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Strict protocols have been developed to ensure all critical control points in production are identified and solutions put in place to prevent potentially harmful physical and microbial contamination. As added security, every batch of our product is tested in an accredited laboratory to confirm the absence of Ecoli, Salmonella and other pathogens. The stringent SQF auditing process will provide a solid foundation for reaching our strategic goal of achieving the highest standards of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) for our customers.

Quality Control

All incoming raw materials are evaluated, inspected and tested by an independent laboratory for microbiological levels in order to achieve the highest quality standards in the industry. Outgoing products are evaluated for moisture, highest purity, and again inspected by an accredited third party laboratory for a microbiological analysis to meet the highest quality standards before we ship out our finished goods.

We abide by the preventive controls rules (finalized in September 2015) and the foreign supplier verification program (FSVP). Once a foreign supplier is approved, the importer must determine verification activities that appropriately fit the risks of the supplier. Examples of verification activities include:

  • Annual on-site audits of a supplier’s facility
  • Sampling and testing at the lab at origin.
  • Review of a supplier’s food safety records on an ongoing basis every year
  • All Incoming raw material and finished batch (Lot) of our product is tested in an accredited laboratory to confirm absence of micros

Each pre-shipment lot sample goes through various stringent quality control processes before we receive a production Lot from our supplier. Our quality check consists of:

  • Visual purity check
  • Taste test
  • Microbiological test by a third party lab
  • Flavor test
  • Shelf-life verification check
